What is a flush in cribbage?

In cribbage, a flush is a hand that consists of all cards of the same suit. A flush is worth 4 points in a standard game of cribbage. If the starter card (or cut card) is also of the same suit as the flush, an additional point is awarded for a total of 5 points.

To qualify as a flush, all four cards in the hand (excluding the starter card) must be of the same suit. If a player is holding a flush, they will say "flush" when scoring their hand to receive the appropriate points.

Flushes are relatively rare in cribbage, so they can be a valuable addition to a player's hand when scoring points.
